Another gorgeous Tokyo day - looks like a scorcher! The Traviata general passed without incident and many spent the rest of the afternoon looking around Yokohama or dining in Chinatown (why does that seem so wierd here but perfectly normal in London?). The viewing platform at the top of that 40 second lift ride gives a spectacular panorama particularly at sunset, and the bar soon turned into the ROH local! Chorus, orchestra, and management all relaxing at the top of the world... Today is the first Manon performance followed by a party for half the tour party (125 of us) at the home of the promoter. Must be some house! News of that tomorrow...
